1. How long will it take to receive my order?

Your order will take 4-8 weeks. Why so long? Name badge orders are sent to our engraver on the last day of every month. Our chapter has work parties scheduled on the second Wednesday of each month to make the name badges, with a work party the following day to package and mail them. This means if you order near the end of a month, you could get your name badges within three weeks, but if you order near the beginning of a month, it would be closer to six weeks. Checks are held until your order is placed with our engraver.

2. What is the size of the Name Badge?

The Name Badge is 1” x 3”. Your name and a P.E.O. daisy will be engraved in black on a white 1” x 3” plastic magnet. Attached to the Name Badge is a cloth tag to attach your pin(s) to that hangs down approximately 2”.

3. How many characters can you have on a line of engraving?

We suggest a maximum of 18 characters per line. This includes spaces and dashes. With more characters than 18, the size of the name gets smaller. We occasionally have put 19 and 20 characters on a line, but you just need to be aware that the font size will shrink. For an extremely long name, two lines will be needed.

Yes. The charge for a second line is $2 extra each.

5. Do you have a group discount?

We offer a group discount for 25 name badges ordered at one time. This represents the discount given to us by our engraver. See the Group Ordering Page for instructions for Group Ordering.

6. What if we don't have 20 orders? Do we still need to use the order forms?

For orders of four Name Badges or more, you are welcome to use the Group Ordering Instructions instead of the ordering forms from the brochure or the web. You may either send individual checks or one large check and e-mail the order in.

7. How does the magnet work on my clothes?

Simply place the magnetic badge on your garment and the sister magnet on the inside. The magnet prevents pin holes on all fabrics, from silk to suede.

8. Why do you offer a pin backing instead of the magnet?

Certain implanted medical devices are affected by strong magnets and these magnets should not be worn by people with these devices. (These may include pacemakers and pain stimulators.) We offer the pin backing for sisters with these devices.

9. What is the easiest way to remove the magnet?

To remove magnet from the back of the Name Badge, twist it gently. The magnet is so strong it is difficult to pull straight off.

10. What is the storage bag like?

Your Name Badge Pin Holder will come in a 4" x 4" durable zip-lock baggie for storage. Ideal for dropping into your purse or members with ring-binder yearbooks can hole punch the baggie and slip it into the front of their yearbooks for safekeeping.

11. Why is there a warning on the storage bag?

This product contains a magnet. Magnets may interfere with the performance of pacemakers and items with magnetic information such as credit cards, room keys and diskettes. If you have or use any of these items in proximity to the magnet, discretion is advised.
